Theme 12 [download; fork on GitHub] is an updated fork of Theme 11 that’s a little more ready for whatever blog you might have.  Theme 12 features a conventional (archives-style) front page but can be converted back to Theme 11 mode easily–simply create a page called full archives and make that your front page in the WP settings.  It also supports all sorts of WordPress-y stuff like sticky posts, asides, quotes and more.
