I don’t blame Apple for the noise–the i7 chip in this iMac is a Nehalam (?) & runs very hot & the fan has a very crisp, well-aligned sound.

Recording with a decent microphone has made me aware of this iMac’s ongoing whir-whir-whirrrglrrrrglrrrrrglrrrrr sound all over again.

Maybe ARM [vs. Intel] for OS X isn’t either/or–Fusion Processors? I’d like an ARM option for my iMac so it could run 1 or 2 apps quietly.
